Help achieve our vision

An ambitious vision cannot be achieved by one office, or by a select group of people. We need lots and lots of help, which is where you can get involved. In the UK alone, there are around 7000 people attending Commission churches – now that is a lot of potential! If you think all of this sounds exciting, and you want to get involved, then you can – there is a place for you.

 Transformation teams …

… Join the adventure

Are you excited by Commission’s vision? Do you want to help play a part in seeing it achieved? Join one of our Transformation Teams!

These teams will help strengthen and build every local church in our Commission family. Whatever your background, whatever your skills and experience, whatever time you have to offer, there should be a place for you in one of the Transformation Teams.

There are many different teams, all based around the Commission strategy of SEND, UNIFY, RELEASE and EQUIP. If you’d like to help, we’d love to hear from you.

Transformation team FAQs

We have compiled a range of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about Transformation Teams. Have a question we haven’t answered? Please contact us and ask for the Events Team.

How much of a time commitment is this?

It really depends on what availability you have. There are so many different opportunities we will
find one which is a good fit for you, both with regards to skills and time availability.

What might I be involved in?

There are 10 different transformation teams to get involved in, and under these teams there will be
lots of sub teams. Some examples of these are social action, overseas mission, looking at the way
we run training, raising up leaders and many more. Try to give us as much detail as you can on the
form about what you’re interested in, that way the teams will be able to find a perfect fit for you.

What happens once I complete the form?

When you first complete the form you’ll receive a standardised email confirming that it’s been
received. Your details will be added to a data base which our team leads will have access to, and
they will contact you. If you haven’t heard within a month, please feel free to get in touch with the
office at office@commission-together.org.

What if I want to get involved but I’m not sure what I have to offer?

If you have time to offer and you’re eager to be involved but you’re not sure how, get in touch!
There are so many plans in place for how we’re going to achieve our vision, there’s almost certainly
something that you can get involved in. Fill out the form anyway, let us know what you’re
passionate about, and we’ll discuss your options with you.

Should I prioritise serving in my church?

Ultimately the work which will be completed by the transformation teams is designed to equip and
enable the local church, and so by serving in these teams you are also serving your church.
However, we would not want to stop you from doing anything you’re already doing. We’d advise
that if you’re at all worried, chat it through with your church leadership team.

Will I be paid?

These are voluntary positions only, however we will also ensure that you are not out of pocket, and
will cover any expenses that you might incur.

What’s the travel expectation?

We aim to minimise the travel required, and where possible we will use video calling. However,
there’s a strong possibility that some travel may be involved. If so, we will be able to cover any
travel expenses.

Why is an elder reference required?

The elder reference is nothing to be worried about, it’s standard procedure for anyone who works or
volunteers for Commission.
