2015 at a glance...

21 Dec 2015

2015 has been another excellent season for the Commission group of churches and we have plenty of news to celebrate as we look back over the year.

NewburyNew Churches

It's been really exciting to see the launch of Good News Church, Wimborne. Sam Priest and his team have seen an established group gathered and we have heard some great testimonies. Bridge Church, Newbury is doing well too with people coming to know Christ and being baptised and Grace Church have had another site established in Midhurst this year which is also great to see!

We've had an excellent year of events. Our team has grown with two new staff coming on board and a whole host of events taking place. From leaders' weekends away to Commission Prayers, from HELP administration days to a Good to Go day and from CST to an America Day, it's been a very full year! Westpoint was one of our best yet, with speakers such as Sam Allberry and Andrew Wilson challenging and encouraging us. We're looking forward to next year already, check out our events calendar for more information.

Training and raising leaders is a huge part of what we do in Commission and 2015 has been no exception to this. Two WordPlus courses started in the autumn term to help those wanting to study the Bible and Theology at greater depth. The Foundations and Advanced training courses have also been going well, with 44 on Foundations and 15 on Advanced training. 23 Impacters from across Commission churches have been enjoying getting stuck in to their local churches and their training blocks at the base in Bristol. For more information about any of these courses, have a look at our training section of the Commission website.

Commission is an international family of churches and it's great to be able to share the successes and stories of those churches outside the UK. In Madrid, the Cristo Salvador church have recently enjoyed their official launch, seeing many new guests coming through the doors. The churches in Portugal have also seen growth in numbers and many being baptised. The Juntos Iberian Conference in May gathered leaders from churches in Spain and Portugal and was a fantastic time of building one another up and spurring one another on.

Guy and Heather had the opportunity to travel to South America this year, visiting various churches and their leaders. It's exciting to see other potential areas God may be opening up and we look forward to seeing how those links may develop next year.

From all of the Commission team,  we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and hope you are as excited as we are to see all that God will do in 2016!
