Church planting in deprived areas

7 Aug 2016

The Newfrontiers church in Worcester are holding a day conference on 17th September aimed at those who are interested in taking up the challenge of church planting in deprived areas.

Dep 1Jim Harper, who is leading the conference writes,

The Church in the UK is made up of predominantly middle class people. Over 50% of the UK consider themselves 'working class' but the people living on large estates in deprived areas are hungry for something else, largely feeling let down and disillusioned. There is a need for a wave of church planting in these areas that effectively reaches people with Good News. We need to see leaders raised up from within the culture.

'Building Churches in Deprived Areas is a day conference for those interested in taking on this challenge. We will look at some principles, hear from people already doing it and we'll look strategically at the next steps.'

Speakers Colin Baron and Jim Harper. Bookings are through Jim himself at
