Amesbury -worship -780

Anticipation. Excitement. Nerves. Faith.

These were just some of the things on display as 10am on Sunday approached. After many months of praying, planning and preparation, Grace Church was ready to go ‘multi-site’ and launch its first monthly meeting in Amesbury

The Amesbury Team did brilliantly; leading, serving, welcoming, setting up, praying and partnering with God on the mission He’s called us to in seeing thousands of lives changed by Jesus.

The room was buzzing as a higher than anticipated 103 people packed into the Bowman Centre to worship God and hear from His word.

After preaching in Amesbury and driving to Salisbury, I was thrilled to see God at work and hear a prophetic word of God doing a ‘new thing’ in the Salisbury congregation.

Our journey had begun, and I was grateful to God for His faithfulness and was reminded again of some of the many advantages of being a multi-site church (ONE church on more than one location):

* A release of new leaders: new opportunities in both sites. N.B a huge well done to Ian, our Amesbury Site Leader and all of his team. Great job!

* 2 nets being put out in both Salisbury and Amesbury, to help see more lives changed by Jesus

* Putting the ‘local’ back into local church and helping people connect to a church much nearer to their home

Another encouragement was to have so many other Commission Church leaders contact me and say they were behind us and praying for us. It’s great to be on mission together.

I’m already looking forward to doing it all over again at our next monthly meeting on 19th February!

With much love,
