Commission Prayer

18 Mar 2015

Three times a year, Commission church leaders meet to pray, worship and seek God for the UK and the nations. It’s always an encouraging time together and last week was no exception! 130 leaders from across Commission churches met at the Citygate Centre, in Bournemouth for two days of prayer.

From encouraging a passion for training (thank-you Andy Phillips!) to looking forward to upcoming Commission events, it was great to be caught up in all that Commission is involved with, and all that God is doing. One session which proved especially popular was having different ‘stations’ around the building, with different nations to pray for at each one. This not only gave a realisation of just how big God’s mission is, but was also a good opportunity to powerfully pray for each one.

It was also really helpful to hear from some of the other spheres in Newfrontiers such as Catalyst, and New Ground. It reminded us that we are still part of the wider Newfrontiers family, and to share in the successes and prayer requests.

It was a really encouraging couple of days, with powerful prophetic moments, incredible times worshipping God and time to build relationship with one another.

Feedback has been incredibly positive:

“This has been the best Commission prayer yet!”

“The stations with prayer for different churches and nations worked really well. It meant you could really go for it in prayer, and lots of different situations got prayed for. What a great few days – it’s a privilege to be a part of this family of churches.”
